Our friend and client Sharon visited last week from Gig Harbor, Washington.  As part of our sight-seeing for her first visit to Arizona, we took a trip to the Grand Canyon.  We drove to Williams with a stop-over in Sedona for lunch and to view some of the amazing colors in the rock formations in and around that city.

Because of traffic and some road construction, we explored only a small amount of the city but had a delicious lunch at Butterfly Burgers.  We strolled through a Saturday Market viewing all the beautiful pottery and various crafts.  Then we headed north toward Flagstaff and Williams.

On Sunday, we took the train from Williams to the Grand Canyon and spent almost three hours walking along the South Rim, trying to stay warm and out of the fierce wind gusts.  But it was a beautiful sunny day and the views were phenomenal.

The train ride was great fun taking just over two hours each way.  They even had a train robbery perpetrated by the Cataract Creek Gang.

Although we woke up on Monday morning to 23 degrees and a frozen windshield, it was a wonderful weekend.
