Abercrombie & Kent adds a 5th riverboat to their fleet for Nile River cruises. The yet-to-be-named ship will join Nile Adventurer, Sun Boat III, Sun Boat IV and Zein Nile Chateau from Sanctuary Retreats (the first three of which were also built by A&K).
This vessel will offer 23 private cabins featuring floor-to-ceiling windows, Juliet balconies, marble-clad bathrooms and 400-thread-count Egyptian cotton linens. There will also be two presidential suites, each featuring a dedicated deck with an outdoor hot tub. A&K has promised that these accommodations will be “some of the most generously proportioned and well-appointed suites on the market.”
Also included will be two restaurants (one inside and one outside), locally-sourced cuisine, a spa, a gym, a swimming pool, a sun deck and other social gathering spaces.
And as A&K has been cruising the Nile since 1977 — founder Geoffrey Kent was inspired to start tours after encountering David Niven on the set of “Death on the Nile” — advisors can rest assured that their clients are in good hands with the brand.
A&K considers the new boutique
riverboat a basecamp for travelers. It will be staffed by an expert crew, and guests will have unprecedented access to popular sites such as the Pyramids of Giza. with extraordinary experiences at every stage of the journey, accompanied by Egyptologists and storytellers to bring Egypt’s luminous history to life.”
The new vessel is already under construction at the Massara Shipyard in Egypt, and it will be available for private charters, in addition to A&K itineraries.
