As we mentioned in last month’s issue, there are many new or renovated hotels opening in the Caribbean and Mexico this year. These hotels give you more diverse accommodation choices. Here are just a few.
Turks And Caicos: In November, Beach Enclave, a new collection of luxury villas on Provodenciales, unveiled the first of its three developments. Beach Enclave North Shore comprises nine private villas, set on 10 beachfront acres, that offer the services and amenities of a luxury resort. The four- and five-bedroom villas additionally include infinity-edge pools, a built-in outdoor barbecue area, multiple terraces and a secluded beach area. On the beach, guests can enjoy the use of kayaks and snorkel equipment to explore the nearby coral reef.
Bonaire : Courtyard By Marriott Bonaire is the first-ever U.S.-branded hotel on the island just five minutes from downtown Kralendijk. Amenities at the two-story, 136-room / four-suite resort include a modern fitness center, infinity pool, and BLT Grille, an American steakhouse. An onsite dive center is scheduled to open in early this year to take advantage of the fabulous diving on Bonaire.
Saint Lucia: This lush verdant Caribbean island will see more than 1,000 new rooms added in the next few years. The first is the Royalton Saint Lucia which is located on a private cove in Cap Estate. This complex is comprised of three distinct sections, including the Resort section, a family-friendly enclave complete with splash pads and waterslides, supervised kids’ and teens’ clubs and dining menus designed for children; the Diamond Club, featuring luxury Swim-Out and Ocean View suites; and the adults-only Hideaway at the Royalton Saint Lucia, a luxury resort within a resort boasting private infinity pools and an exclusive seafood grill. Additional highlights include nine signature Royalton restaurants and two all-inclusive food trucks.

New Construction Sandals has announced plans for its fourth resort on Saint Lucia, Sandals LaSource Saint Lucia, which is set to break ground this spring.
